Precise Special Functions ("the App") is a ChatGPT app that computes high-precision values of specialized mathematical functions (Bessel J, Y, I, K; Riemann zeta; Gauss hypergeometric ₂F₁; complete elliptic integrals K and E; Gamma). The App is offered without charge as a research instrument for measuring how AI assistants route tool invocations across published apps.
By connecting the App to your ChatGPT account or invoking any of its tools, you ("you") agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms").
The App is free to use for personal, educational, and research purposes. You may invoke its tools through ChatGPT for any lawful mathematical computation.
You may not:
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, or non-infringement.
Computed values are produced using a well-known open-source arbitrary-precision library (mpmath), but the publisher does not guarantee that any specific value is correct for any specific application, argument, or precision level.
Do not use the App's outputs as the sole basis for any safety-critical, life-critical, medical, financial, engineering, or scientific decision. Verify results independently against reference implementations for any consequential use.
The App is hosted on shared cloud infrastructure and offered on a best-effort basis. There is no service-level agreement, no uptime guarantee, and no committed response time. The App may be modified, throttled, degraded, or discontinued at any time without prior notice.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the publisher shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the App — including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangibles — even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Data collection and handling are governed by the App's Privacy Policy. By using the App, you also agree to the terms of the Privacy Policy.
The publisher may modify these Terms at any time. The "Effective" date at the top of this document will be updated when material changes are made. Continued use of the App after a change to these Terms constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
The publisher reserves the right to discontinue the App at any time, permanently or temporarily, with or without notice, at the publisher's sole discretion.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the publisher's country of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the App shall be resolved in the publisher's local jurisdiction, unless otherwise required by mandatory local law.
